Chocolate Bark is a super simple candy recipe, that takes less than 5-minutes to whip up, and can be topped with just about anything yummy in your pantry. My Chocolate Bark recipe today is featuring Original Cannoli Chips Cookies & Cream Cannoli Chips from The Golden Cannoli!
After seeing the Original Cannoli Chips on Instagram, I was intrigued (because duh—-look how yummy they look!) and contacted the company to see about using their their cannoli chips to develop some new recipes for my blog. I figured I could share the recipes on my blog for you guys, and Golden Cannoli could include the recipes on their Original Cannoli Chips website for their customers too! Win, win! I loved working with Ashley from the Golden Cannoli (she is such a sweetheart), and I love everything about this family owned business. The cannoli chips are baked from scratch in small batches, have no preservatives and no artificial anything!
Soooooo…..The Golden Cannoli was wonderful enough to send this girl two packages of each of the three flavors of cannoli chips they produce: Cookies & Cream, Cinnamon & Sugar and Powdered Sugar. While these cannoli chips are good enough to eat by themselves, I hope you resist the urge to eat the entire bag before trying the cannoli chips in some of the recipes I am going to share with you. So stay tuned, because I have a bunch of AMAZING recipes coming your way, using the cannoli chips (as long as I can keep the cannoli chips hidden from everyone before they disappear). I opened the Powdered Sugar Cannoli Chips and ohhhhh-emmmmm-geeeeeeee. They smell like funnel cake 🙂
I developed recipes specifically for each flavor variety of cannoli chips. When I saw the Original Cannoli Chips Cookies & Cream Cannoli Chips, I instantly thought about making a super easy chocolate bark and topping the bark with cannoli chip pieces! This is the perfect snack for a party (the big game that is coming up!), for that special someone for Valentine’s Day or just for sitting on the couch binge watching Netflix late at night. Y’all need to try these….words and pictures do not do these justice!
Cookies and Cream Chocolate BarkPrint Recipe
- 1 (12-ounce) bag milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Original Cannoli Chips Cookies and Cream Cannoli Chips, broken into small pieces
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl, add the milk chocolate chips and shortening. Heat in the microwave, stopping every 15-seconds to stir mixture to make sure you don't scorch or overcook your chocolate. Once chocolate is melted, remove from the microwave and stir in vanilla extract. Pour chocolate onto prepared baking pan and spread the chocolate out to your desired thinness. You want it fairly thin, approximately 1/4-inch in height. Immediately top warm chocolate with Original Cannoli Chips and sprinkles. Press cannoli chips carefully into the chocolate so the cannoli chips stick to the chocolate.
Put bark in the refrigerator for 30-minutes, or until fully set, before breaking into desired sized pieces.
Store in the refrigerator if you want a crisp, cold bark or at room temperature if you want a softer chocolate bark. Store in an air tight container.
Spread your chocolate out thin, then press in your cannoli chip pieces and sprinkles! Pop in the refrigerator to cool for 30-minutes, then break into desired pieces!
