Halloween Deco Mesh Wreath

If you have been a reader of the blog for some time now, then you know I love crafts almost as much as baking!  Today I am sharing a calorie-free post….how to make a Halloween deco mesh wreath.  These wreaths are easier to make than you think.  And when you make them yourself, you get to decorate them however you like!

I love deco mesh wreaths because they are usually big and poofy, with bright colors and over-the-top decorations!  Today I am sharing how I decorated my wreath in a Halloween theme, but if you would like step by step directions on making a deco mesh wreath (how to make the loops and attach the deco mesh), then click HERE.  That post has step by step directions and pictures!

To make a Halloween deco mesh wreath, first gather your supplies:

You will need one 16-inch work wreath, one roll of 10-inch x 30-feet deco mesh ribbon in your primary color (orange), one roll of 5-1/2-inch x 30 feet deco mesh ribbon in your secondary color (burlap with orange), a Halloween sign and fun Halloween decorations!  I got my supplies at Hobby Lobby.

Take your work wreath and erect all of the attached pipe cleaner grabbers.  Next, take your primary color and attach the deco mesh, making 2-inch loops, until you have added the deco mesh to the entire wreath and the entire roll of deco mesh is used.

Take your secondary color and make smaller loops, attaching the loops criss cross (top row to bottom row), until the entire wreath is complemented with the secondary deco mesh ribbon.  Twist down all of the pipe cleaner grabbers.

Now add your decorations!  My bats actually had sticker backers, so it made it easy to just stick my bats onto the deco mesh.  The skeletons were actually a package of garland, so they had string attaching them all together.  I just cut the string on each skeleton and used that string to tie the skeletons to the wreath!

And no wreath is ever complete without a cute sign in the middle!

You are so multi-talented. This wreath is SO CUTE! Girl, you should just open a store where you sell your baked goods and crafts. I’d be your first customer!
