Peanut Butter Butterfinger Seven Layer Bars

A spin on the classic Seven Layer Magic Bars!  This yummy Seven Layer Bar is all about peanuts, peanut butter chips and Butterfinger pieces!  Strictly for peanut butter lovers only y’all!

The beauty of these amazing tasting bars are that you can customize them any way you want!  Don’t like something?  Switch it out!  I made the classic version of these bars (recipe here) but because I made these for our annual family Holiday Bake Day, I thought I would include a version that didn’t have coconut.  Because I think coconut is either a love or hate kinda thing.  I’m on the hate side.  Sorry.  So if you like coconut, check out my Original Seven Layer Bar recipe and if you don’t, then read on for the perfect alternative recipe for you!
But first….I interrupt this recipe for pictures of our annual family Holiday Bake Day!

This year I made these Peanut Butter Butterfinger Seven Layer Bars, the Classic Seven Layer Bars, two versions of my Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies, and my Peanut Butter cups (in regular size and mini sized!).  Wendy made her classic no bake chocolate cookies and rice krispies treats and mom made homemade almond roca (our family recipe), peanut butter fudge, chocolate fudge and peanut brittle.  Candy, cookies and goodies galore!

Ok back to our recipe for today….these Peanut Butter Butterfinger Layer Bars.  Easy, peasy just like the classic version!  Fool proof my friends….fool proof!

Serves: 24 Cooking Time: 25-Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter Chips (I used Reese's brand)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup salted, roasted peanuts, chopped
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup Butterfinger pieces (either from the baking aisle or chop up 2 Butterfinger candy bars)

Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Line a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. Set aside. In a small bowl, melt butter in the microwave. Pour melted butter in the prepared pan, covering the entire bottom of the pan with butter. Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly over the butter. Layer the peanut butter chips, chocolate chips and chopped peanuts evenly over the graham cracker layer. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all the layers. Spread the Butterfinger pieces evenly over the top of the sweetened condensed milk.

2

Bake in 350-degree oven for 25-minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let bars cool completely before cutting into desired sized squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Our family cookies are not ordinary to most. German sour cream twists, filled cookies, cherry coconut bars, chocolate fruit drops, lemon squares and if course peanut blossoms that have been rolled in sugar that has some red and green sugars.
