Valentine’s Day M&M Fudge

Need an easy recipe to make to surprise your sweetie for Valentine’s Day or to make as a fun gift for friends??  Then this easy chocolate fudge recipe is for you!  Just four ingredients and a microwave is all you need to make creamy, dreamy fudge.  And today I am collaborating with Sara from On House and Home, to bring you a craft project to incorporate this fudge into.

I am so excited about today’s post because: 1. I love working with other bloggers and 2. I know y’all love an easy recipe!  This fudge recipe comes together in just minutes and sets quickly too.  Use Valentine’s Day colored M&M’s and a heart cookie cutter to make this fudge the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.  If you don’t have a heart cookie cutter, then just cut the fudge into squares.  It tastes the same no matter what shape the fudge is in 😉

Sara blogs over at On House and Home and shares awesome posts about DIY house projects, crafts, etc.  So Sara and I decided to team up to bring you one of my recipes that could be used with one of her crafts!  Sara made a wood block holder to put my fudge “pops” on.  So it’s a bouquet of fudge!  How awesome is that?!  Make sure you go over to Sara’s blog to learn how to make the bouquet after you make this fudge.

This fudge and Sara’s craft, makes for a fun Valentine’s Day present to give to teachers, neighbors, co-workers, etc.  Because who wouldn’t love a bouquet of fudge?!

I went to Target in search of Valentine’s Day M&M’s and they had so many options!  I kept it classic with the original plain M&M’s, but you can use your favorite M&M’s in this chocolate fudge.  Oh and this is gluten free too!

Valentine's Day M&M Fudge

Print Recipe
Serves: 30 Cooking Time: 1-minute

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I used Rodelle Bakers Blend vanilla extract)
  • 1-1/2 cups Valentine's Day M&M's

Instructions

1

Line a baking dish with foil and spray bottom and sides with baking spray. I used an 8 x 11.5-inch baking pan, but a 9 x 13-inch pan can be used too. You can use any size pan you want, depending on the thickness you want your fudge. Set prepared pan aside.

2

In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and entire can of sweetened condensed milk. Microwave the ingredients for approximately one minute, stopping every 10-seconds to stir the mixture. Only microwave the ingredients until the chocolate chips have melted.

3

Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir in the vanilla extract. Add one cup of M&M's to the fudge and stir until incorporated.

4

Dump fudge out into prepared pan and smooth until fudge is level. Sprinkle the remaining half cup of M&M's over the top of the fudge and gently push the M&M's into the fudge. Let fudge set and cool. Cover and store fudge in the refrigerator.

Notes

Store fudge in the refrigerator, in an air tight container. Fudge stays fresh for 1-2 weeks.

During my flurry in the kitchen trying to get this fudge cut and packaged to give to friends and family, I TOTALLY forgot to cut the fudge using my heart cookie cutters!  So I made this heart for you instead 😉

Happy Valentine’s Day!  You definitely deserve chocolate and this fudge would make anyone happy!  What’s your favorite Valentine’s Day candy?  Leave me a comment below!

And because we need fudge options and colors, don’t forget about my Strawberry Fudge that’s just three ingredients!  Say what?!?!

XOXO,

Kelly

‘Tis fudge all day in here:) I love simple homemade candy (well, who doesn’t?) and fudges are the right way to go. Sweet, soft fudge with the crunchy M&Ms sounds so good.
