Air Fryer Sausage Dinner

Perfectly cooked sausage made in the air fryer!  This post isn’t necessarily a recipe as it is more of a “how-to.”  We recently got an air fryer and we LOVE it.  It is so easy to use and you can “fry” just about anything in it.  And air frying is so much healthier too…no oil is involved in this cooking method.  Air circulates and makes your food crisp on the outside with a similar texture as crispy fried food.  And as an added bonus everything cooks so quickly in the air fryer and the cleanup is minimal.

So even though there is no “recipe” today, I was lucky enough to have homemade sausage to air fry.  One of the guys I work with is an avid hunter and he so amazingly gave me some of his homemade venison pork sausage (Thank you Jorge!!).  The sausage is 70% venison and 30% pork, with cheese in it too and it turned out to be the perfect ratio!

Preheat your air fryer to 360-degrees for 8-minutes

Place sausage in the air fryer basket and into the air fryer it goes!

Air fry at 360-degrees for 8-minutes, flip and then air fry for additional 4-minutes or until your sausage is at the internal temperature that is safe to eat (varies on what protein sausage you are cooking).

Ohhhhh yeah….look at the glorious, crispy sausage, yet juicy in the middle!

To make this a complete dinner, I served the sausage with steamed broccoli and brown rice (and a dinner roll for Ethan).  This was such an easy and quick way to cook the sausage and I had dinner on the table in 20-minutes.  James LOVED the sausage and said it was one of the best he ever had!!

If you don’t have an air fryer, you definitely should get one.  I know the Instant Pot is all the rage, but that thing intimidated me and I returned my Instant Pot and bought this air fryer instead.  BEST. DECISION. EVER.  Seriously.

SO TELL ME….
