The Ultimate Chocolate Experience

Before the country shut down because of Covid, I had the opportunity to experience “The Ultimate Chocolate Experience.”  Ummm sounds like fun right?!  I mean CHOCOLATE!!  The experience was an AirBnB Experience in San Francisco, where I spent the evening at The Good Chocolate, learning how chocolate is made, and also got to make my own chocolate bar all while being treated to a live jazz concert!  It was definitely an awesome experience, so of course I had to share it with y’all!

My friends over at The Good Chocolate were so kind to invite me as their guest to participate in The Ultimate Chocolate Experience.  I know about The Good Chocolate through my blogging friend GiGi (who happens to have her OWN chocolate bar from The Good Chocolate…#jealous).  The Good Chocolate is a sugar free chocolate, that is Keto friendly and above all TASTES AMAZING!  So I was super excited to make the quick trip to San Francisco to participate in this chocolate experience.

The experience started at 7:30PM, which gave me enough time to have an amazing dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse before Ubering (why is that not a word?!) to The Good Chocolate’s shop/chocolate making factory.  The beginning of the experience started with a presentation on how The Good Chocolate sources its chocolate and how chocolate was discovered and made.

One of the owners, Ben, showed us the process of removing the cacao bean from the shells….

Then everyone was given their own chocolate mould and options for add-in’s to make their custom chocolate bars.  After a little instruction, we were off to create our chocolate bars!

Yup….you can bet this girl went first!!  Really I just wanted to shove that spoon of melted chocolate in my mouth.  But I was a guest and didn’t want to be rude (that would be rude, right?).  You pour a heaping spoonful of the sugar free chocolate into the mould and then move on to immediately add your option of coconut, nuts, M&M’s, graham crackers, marshmallows, etc.

The chocolate bars were placed in the cooler to chill and now it was time for some refreshments and entertainment!  Samples of all the varieties of The Good Chocolate were available for us to taste, as well as vegan hot cocoa.

We settled in for our private jazz concert featuring Noe Levy singing and Art Khu on the keyboard piano.

Noe has such a soulful voice and Art is a master on the piano.  It was such an intimate concert, since there were only about 10-12 of us.  After several beautiful songs (which told different stories about love, because when I went it was February 13th), our chocolate bars had cooled and Ben packaged them up for us.

I took my chocolate bar and headed back to the hotel.  I had such a fun time at The Ultimate Chocolate Experience and it would be such a fun girls night out or date night!  If you are planning a trip to San Francisco, make sure you check out AirBnB and book your trip to The Good Chocolate for The Ultimate Chocolate Experience.

Obviously because at the time of this writing everything is still on Covid shutdown status, the AirBnB experience is on hold.  But to satisfy your desire to experience this fun now (and for those that aren’t in the San Francisco area), you can join the fun on 9/5/2020 at noon for The Good Chocolate’s Facebook Live event, giving you this same experience (minus making your own chocolate and eating all their chocolate….but make sure you hit up their website and order some of their chocolate bars).

So what did I put in my chocolate bar???  Graham crackers and mini marshmallows of course!  I was going for a little s’mores theme with my chocolate bar.

Chocolate is ALWAYS a good idea.  And The Good Chocolate is hands down THE BEST SUGAR FREE CHOCOLATE ever!

XOXO,

Kelly
