O’zapft is! That’s a Bavarian expression, meaning, “it’s tapped.” At noon on the first day of Oktoberfest, the Mayor of Munich traditionally taps the first keg of beer, exclaiming the above phrase, which marks the official opening of the festival. October 4, 2018 at 7:17 AMI was never really one to celebrate Oktoberfest because um, I don’t drink and I don’t eat pork – LOL! BUTTTTTTTT I do love sausages and there are those delicious beef sausages from Teton Waters – so I could celebrate with those babies! 😉
