Twelve Recipes for Oktoberfest

Throw on your lederhosen, grab a mug and lets get our Oktoberfest on!  But no Oktoberfest would be complete without some amazing German food.  Just in case you missed this years Oktoberfest party, I put together this recipe collaboration from last years Oktoberfest party.  Because when beer is involved, you can never have too many food options, right?!

This round-up of amazing Oktoberfest recipes, was organized by Milena at Craft Beering.  Several of us bloggers all contributed Oktoberfest themed recipes, including appetizers, main dishes and desserts, perfect for any Oktoberfest celebration, to make up this awesome recipe collection.

O’zapft is!  That’s a Bavarian expression, meaning, “it’s tapped.”  At noon on the first day of Oktoberfest, the Mayor of Munich traditionally taps the first keg of beer, exclaiming the above phrase, which marks the official opening of the festival.  So let’s get this Oktoberfest started….O’zapft is!  Click on the recipe title to check out the recipe  (The title of the recipes are above the pictures).

    I was never really one to celebrate Oktoberfest because um, I don’t drink and I don’t eat pork – LOL! BUTTTTTTTT I do love sausages and there are those delicious beef sausages from Teton Waters – so I could celebrate with those babies! 😉

      Heheheh yeah I am not much of a drinker either…a glass of wine every once in awhile….but you know I love an excuse to celebrate something with food hahaha
