Make your own trail mix at home for a fraction of the pre-packaged price and with the ability to add your favorite nuts and candies! Â No recipe needed, but in this post I am including ideas and inspiration when creating your own homemade trail mix!
For my trail mix I added cashews, Famous Amos chocolate chip cookie pieces, peanuts, chocolate covered cashews, raisins, yogurt covered raisins, plain M&M’s and butterscotch chips. Â But really the options are endless.
I utilized the bulk bins of my local grocery store, which stocks just about every kind of nut, dried fruit, chocolate covered nut and candy. Â Using the bulk bins is what helps keep the costs down when making your own trail mix.
