Edible Cookies ‘n Cream Cookie Dough

This cookie dough does not contain eggs and has heat treated flour, to make this cookie dough completely safe to eat raw!  Because sometimes you just want to eat cookie dough!!  I made a classic Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough recipe not too long ago, and people went nuts over it…so with some Oreo’s in the pantry, I quickly whipped this cookie dough recipe up. And that’s the beauty of this recipe.  It literally takes minutes to make.  And that can either be a good thing or a bad thing (good thing because it tastes so good….bad thing for fitting into your jeans).  Sweetened condensed milk is used to make this cookie dough come together without having to use eggs, plus a handful of other ingredients.  AND OREO COOKIES!

Serves: 2 large jars Cooking Time: 0-minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (I used Rodelle Pure Vanilla Extract)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (see notes below for instructions on heat treating it)
  • 1 (14-ounce can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 14 Oreo cookies, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1

In the bowl of a stand mixer, affixed with the paddle attachment, add the butter and brown sugar. Mix on medium high speed until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract, salt and nutmeg and mix until well incorporated. On low speed, add a cup of flour and half the can of sweetened condensed milk and then add the second cup of flour and remaining sweetened condensed milk. Mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and Oreo cookie pieces.

2

Pour dough into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

If you are worried about using raw flour, you can heat the flour in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir and heat for an additional 30-seconds. Cookie dough will stay fresh for up to one week in the refrigerator.

So what can you do with this cookie dough?  Well besides just eating it straight from the fridge while no one is looking (my preferred method), you can also scoop the cookie dough into balls for easy snacking (and portion control if you must) and even dup those cookie dough balls in melted chocolate for the ultimate decadent treat!  What can’t you do with this cookie dough?  BAKE WITH!  YOU CANNOT BAKE THIS COOKIE DOUGH!!  Yes that deserved all caps and exclamation marks hehehe.

XOXO,

Kelly
